Iosis X: the lowdown
Meet one of the Paris Motor Show’s most flamboyant stars: the Ford Iosis X. It’s billed as a crossover concept vehicle which builds on the genes laid down by last year’s Frankfurt star, the Iosis. The Iosis ultimately morphed into the new Mondeo, as featured in the November issue of CAR magazine (out 2 October).

Slinky XK too boring for you? Jaguar has launched a new exterior styling pack for its coupe and convertible. The XK is given a butch makeover with a new front spoiler, rear valance and chunkier side sills.
Buick is cloning real-world roads so they can be used to virtual test cars. Engineers use cameras and a laser to scan the road surface and to create a three-dimensional virtual copy. Buick has used this system to replicate the road leading to the Cerro del Cubilete shrine in Mexico.
